Needles and Slate

I get a lot of enjoyment from looking at the more intricate details in nature. In this case the cool tones of the slate and the warm tones of the pine needles really complement each other, especially as the pine needles seem to have fallen in a circular pattern around the triangular shaped hole in the centre of the frame. In turn the shape of the hole mirrors the many triangles that have formed as a result of the random fall of the needles.
